More isn't necessarily better.
Removing the one-hit headshot kill was probably a good call but making the stage bigger and changing the scoring method to ring-outs has ruined the pacing. The previous version had a kind of a "so-bad-it's-good" appeal, being silly but deceptively difficult and the matches were extremely fast-paced since you could kill your opponent in just a few seconds even without a headshot. In this one you just incrementally push your opponent over the edge via "physics" so it's kind of tedious by comparison.
The new weapons don't really add much either since they all fly more or less straight and do the same thing.
